Our family have been active members of the New Seabury community in all aspects of the Club since 2005. My wife, Heidi, is very involved in women’s golf and all racquet sports here at New Seabury. I participate in several golf groups and play in all of the major tournaments. My three children (Nick, Danielle, and Brooke) have had wonderful experiences growing up here, participating in all of the kids’ golf tournaments, clinics, etc.
I have had a successful career as an entrepreneur. I was one of the early executives in our firm, Financial Engines, when we recognized that the financial services industry was underserving the typical American family. Together, our executive team created a new breed of advisor focusing on financial planning and conflict-free investment advice. I am the longstanding President and CEO, and today we are the largest independent advisor in the country and ranked number one best planning firm by Barron’s five years in a row. Last month, I announced I would be retiring from the CEO role while remaining as Chairman of the Board. This transition away from a super hands-on role of running the day-to-day operations will allow me the time to invest my energy and experience with the New Seabury board.
I would like to bring my broad set of skills to our Board. It is vital for the future of this club to work with management and ownership to support the various programs and initiatives that continue to make New Seabury the vibrant community our children had the pleasure of growing up part of.
